Meet Kyle, Falcon High School Class of 2016! We started out his consultation with “Well, where would you like to do your pictures?”. His mom busts out her phone and shows me photos taken on 40 acres of private property on the edge of Black Forest that they have access to. “Yeah, I think that’ll work just fine,” I tell them. Oh my goodness. They took me to a little piece of the property heaven above the house and we go to play on some amazing cliffs, with beautiful vistas and loads of trees. You don’t get any more classic Colorado than this. It was perfection.

Young’uns, if you don’t know who that is Google it.) who just knows how to pose and look casual – like he always hangs out on cliffs. He also has a really great sense of humor (and he totally got my jokes). Falcon High School, Senior photography, Colorado Springs, Leocadia PhotographyWe did his photo shoot right at sunset on the evening before that Blood Moon Eclipse. Full disclosure: I am not a moon photographer. I’m a people photographer. My moon pictures look just like the ones everyone took on their iPhones and posted everywhere. Nothing special to see here. But the sunset that night was beautiful and one thing I’m pretty good at is people at sunset.Falcon High School, Senior photography, Colorado Springs, Leocadia PhotographyThis might be my most favorite photo of the Class of 2016 senior season and I’m beyond thrilled that Kyle’s mom ordered this huge for her wall. I love it!

Once the sun set, it was time for things to get serious – see, Kyle is a in TaeKwonDo and we needed to get some epic shots of this. Enter a sloped spot behind the barn, because on the edge of Black Forest folks, it gets a little windy. Barns make good wind blockers. Falcon High School, Senior photography, Colorado Springs, Leocadia Photography, TaeKwonDo, SunsetI really enjoyed working with Kyle and his mom and brother for this whole photo shoot and I’m thankful to their kind family for allowing us access to this beautiful location.
