Meet Kasey, Widefield High School, Class of 2015! Any excuse to spend an afternoon is Manitou Springs is a good excuse. The Penny Arcade, the stone steps, the library lawn are all gorgeous places to take a picture, and when you get to bring along a furry friend, its even better. There’s such a variety of looks in such a small area. Kasey is so artistic and brought some really unique, fun ideas to her consultation meeting. She wanted to make sure that we represented who she is, so we took some of her sitting on a park bench sketching, and we used a picture she drew of her mom as a focus piece.

Widefield High School Senior PhotographyKasey is an old soul, and you can just tell she’s observing everything around her. On this shoot she was the yin to my yang. She’s a bit shy until she gets you, and I’m a bit loud and goofy. She “got” what I was asking her to do because she could see in her head what I was composing in mine, photographing someone so artistic was such a unique experience for me. There were so many great images it was hard to narrow it down. The glitter image was all her idea, but we used sequins because I’m fairly sure my camera doesn’t like having glitter blown at it, and it was quick and easy to clean up, although I’m sure it wouldn’t have been the first time a glitter bomb happened in Manitou.

Kasey brought her furry friend Baby on the shoot. Baby has been around for a lot of Kasey’s life, and you can just see the love she has for her. It goes both ways. Baby was content to just walk along with us and was happiest when we were in the shade. She was such a good listener and a trooper for our stop and go journey.
