Meet Leslie! Cheyenne Mountain High School Class of 2015! You guys. Leslie is going to do big things in this world. She’s intelligent, goal oriented and freakin’ gorgeous! She runs cross country, and despite setbacks from terrible injuries, she continues to train hard. She sings in CMHS’s Crimson Choir, and was even nominated for the Military Child of the Year. Plus? Just a good, kind person. She introduced me to one of my new favorite shooting locations, one of her cross country running trails just behind CMHS (side note: since this shoot, I’ve drug many a family up on these trails for some beautiful photos). I love when seniors pick locations that are special to them – I always envision them showing their kids these pictures someday and telling them about their adventures and remembering this amazing time in their lives

We played in trees with big rocks, hung out in open fields with amazing mountain views and even views of the city, tried not to sit on any cactus and might have learned her mom was allergic to one of the weeds we passed. We watched for (big, scary) critters, and the boys cross country team on a training run. We even heard the shrine chime! It was beautiful and green and oh so Colorado.

Leslie had her pick of some pretty amazing colleges, this fall she will head off for PreMed at Texas A&M University. See? Going places and doing big things in this world. A&M is lucky to have this Cheyenne Mountain High School graduate, and the whole world will be a better place with people like Leslie in it. Good luck lady, with all the great things in your future, I’m so excited about the adventures that are headed your way. Go Aggies!
